EcoHeatCool is to supply and install an Underfloor Heating System as part of a £3 million restoration project of Wakefield Cathedral. The cathedral is to undergo a full renovation as part of a National Lottery grant awarded in 2012.

Mechanical and Electrical engineering contractors, Sayes & Co in partnership with EcoHeatCool have been contracted to design, supply and install the Underfloor Heating System for this national heritage building. EcoHeatCool was specified for the project by the M&E Consultants, Martin Thomas Associates due to a long standing partnership we have built over the years.

The aim of the project is to restore and reorder the nave which will be cleared of its oak pews to create an open space for worship, public events and celebrations. In addition to this the work will improve the cathedrals, lighting, flooring, sound system and include a new underfloor heating system for the Central Nave, North and South Aisle and the West Tower.

The final results are amazing! We have shared some of the photographs with you below.
